‘I left school in Liverpool with no exam results because I was dyslexic, so I started work hod-carrying on a building site. Since winning Big Brother, I set up my own TV production company and I have appeared in over 700 DIYTV shows. I have also set up a construction training academy which teaches kids in Liverpool carpentry, plastering and brick laying. We started with 152 students and this year we will be training 500 students on the course, which goes up to NVQ level two. I also set up my own building company in the Shropshire area, starting by buying and renovating a very small cottage, which I now live in, and moving up from there. I have bought and restored or completely re-built old ruined houses and my current ambition is to restore a castle – you don’t know of one that needs help, do you?’
