Winner Season Six: 2005

‘Why do I think I won Big Brother? I think I was honest, I did the tasks as best as I could, I didn’t act arrogant and I tried to keep pretty much below radar when I was in there, not getting into rows. My boyhood dream, growing up with my grandmother and mother in Newcastle, was to be a footballer. I never made it, but after I won Big Brother we put on ‘The Match’, a charity game at St. James’s Park and 52,000 people watched me. That was really, really amazing and Graham Taylor, the coach of Newcastle United, is one of the best blokes I’ve ever met. When I went in for Big Brother, which I got the second time I tried, I was already heavily involved in show business with a Seventies disco revival group I formed with my mates. It was called Anthony’s Boogie Nights, and we still tour the clubs with it. And last Christmas I was in panto, playing Prince Charming in Snow White. And thanks to Big Brother, I now own three houses in Newcastle; my gran lives in one of them.’
