Accessibility

The team that designed this website believe the internet should be open and accessible to as many people as possible and have built it according to accessibility guidelines set out by the W3C.

On this page you will find two layout options. The standard layout is as close to the original book design as we could get whilst meeting as many of the guidelines as possible. In some instances colour is used to convey information. The second layout known as a "zoom" layout uses exactly the same content as the standard layout but presents it in a high contrast colour scheme with a larger font size and all links the same colour and underlined.

Abbreviations and acronyms are indicated by a dotted underline.

We have implemented a link to allow you to skip the navigation of the site and jump straignt to the main content. This may seem irrelevant but to those of you using assistive technology such as screen readers it means you don't have to go through the navigation every time you move to another page.

All images have meaningful alt attributes and where possible all links have title attributes.

All external links are clearly labelled with icons and open in a new window.

Links to pages within the Channel 4 domain open in the same window.

If you have any difficulties accessing the information held in this website please email accessibility@channel4.com and we will do what we can to address your problem.
